Community Litter Pick

On Friday 26th April 2019, the Eco committee took part in their first Community Litter Pick around the village as part of the Great British Clean Up campaign.
Equipped with bin bags and handheld litter pickers, twenty-seven children and ten adults took to the streets. Pupils, volunteers and staff walked through the village towards the Sandiway library and shops picking up the litter along the way.
A special mention and thank you to Gaskells Waste Management Services for providing us with high visibility jackets and bin bags.
Together, we collected 48 kg of litter in two hours.
