Blackbirds are game testers!

This half term the children in Blackbirds have been predicting, testing and evaluating simple Scratch games. We looked at a range of different games and thought about the algorithms for each one. The children explored the programs and thought about how precise instructions have to be. We predicted what would happen and how enjoyable the games might be before playing.

The children then compared the Addition Race game to the Fish game, and thought about which one challenged them more. The children compared the games to other games that they play at home and also how we could take ideas from the programs and apply them to our school work. The children had lots of wonderful ideas!
